Amanda: Hi everyone, welcome to the official YouTube channel of Bridgeport Free Clinic. I’m Amanda Zhang, I’m a medical student at University of Chicago, and one of the co-directors of the clinic.
Julia: My name is Julia Ran. I am also a medical student at UChicago, and I am the Interpreter Coordinator at Bridgeport Free Clinic.
Amanda: Before the COVID-19 pandemic, we provided free medical services to many communities in Chicago, especially the Chinese American community. Unfortunately we’re currently unable to see patients in person, we’re here to support everyone in staying safe and healthy at a distance.
Julia: Over the past week, we asked community members to share with us some of their burning medical questions regarding COVID-19 through Facebook, WeChat, and our website. We are fortunate to have Dr. Jonathan Lio from UChicago Medicine to answer these questions for us, and we are excited to share his responses in this video series.
