JULIA: Thank you so much Dr. Lio for joining us today. We are really fortunate to have you answer these questions for the community. Before I delve into the questions about Covid-19 specifically, could you please tell us a little bit about your role in the UChicago Hospitals response to COVID-19?
DR. LIO: Thanks for having me, I’m very happy to talk to you and answer any questions that you have. I’ve been involved with our hospital in two aspects so far. Right now we’ve been managing questions from the community, so we have a special and dedicated support line for people who may have tested positive for the virus or people who just have questions about what the virus is, how to isolate themselves, where they can find help. They can call into this helpline for help, and we have a team of students managing this.
DR. LIO: Another one of the ways that I am involved in our COVID care is in monitoring our patients who have tested positive but who are at home, and just seeing how they are doing. Because some of our patients are doing fine, and the vast majority are. But there are some patients who have other co-morbidity, other health problems, and sometimes their COVID will make that worse. Sometimes they need extra help with managing their symptoms. Some of them need help in going over to the ED, so we help to triage those.

我应对疫情的另一职责是监测检测结果为阳性但在家隔离的患者，并观察他们的情况。一部分患者目前状态良好，绝大多数的患者都是这样。但有些患者会有其他并发症以及其他健康问题，新冠病毒的感染使他们的健康情况变得更糟。有的情况下，他们需要额外的帮助控制病情，一些人需要外在的帮助去到急诊室，所以我们会帮助分诊。
