9 Safely returning to work 安全返工

AMANDA: Some of us may be going back to work. Originally, this question said in May, but now June. What can we do to protect ourselves?

DR. LIO: If you’re going back to work, I would follow some of the same social distancing principles at work. Number 1, if you’re sick - if you have symptoms of a cold, sore throat, coughing, fever - please don’t go to work, because you will then be spreading it to other people. If you feel fine, then of course, you’re at work, try to keep a distance from other people, the recommendation is 6 feet at least. And the, if you’re at a workstation, make sure to be disinfecting the work area, especially if things that are touched commonly by other people.


Dr. LIO: So bring your own wipes, keep your space clean, avoid being too close to other people as possible. Wear masks as possible to prevent spreading your own droplets. And I think most businesses that restart will have some kind to guidelines about distancing and shift arrangements to avoid having too many people in one area, so that will help too. If you’re in a closed environment, having some type of ventilation will help get the virus particle out, so they’re not just condensed in a small area. So if you can open windows, that can help too.
